Refund policy
Countries we ship to and thus accept a return from:
Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal
Returns
We accept returns for both defective and non-defective products as long as the customer has contacted us and informed of the return within 3 days of receipt of product. Receipt of product includes purchase of a product in a physical location such as a farmers market OR our physical retail store. NOTE we do not accept returns or exchanges of product purchased from a third party, retailer, HORECA business partner or entity not owned by FermentFabriek or Avant Garden Plant Based.
Exchanges
We accept exchanges of products in new condition only. We do not sell used or second hand products.
The return or exchange must be informed to us within 3 days of purchase or receipt of goods.
Method of Return
By mail, At a drop-off location , In store
Return labels should be located in all mailed, shipped products.
We do not charge a restocking fee but customer is responsible for return shipping costs for products received as new and not damanged

REFUND POLICY
Our policy is valid for a period of 3 calendar days from the date of the purchase. If you receive your order and are not satisfied for any reason you can return the product for a refund. If the period of 3 days has lapsed, we can't, unfortunately, offer you a refund.
NON-RETURNABLE GOODS
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases. Additional non-returnable items are: Gift cards, downloadable software products, some health and personal care items.
SHIPPING / DROP OFF
To return your product, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to any other address then indicated herein.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $25, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don't guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Refund requirements
The following criteria must be met to qualify for a refund:
- Product is defective
- Product is not as described
- Product must be in original packaging
- Product must be unused
- Product must not be damaged
In order to ensure the above criteria has been met, all returns will be inspected. If the product does not meet the listed criteria, we reserve the right not to issue a refund. Perishable goods are completely exempt from being returned.
Proof of purchase
To complete your refund, we require a receipt, purchase order or other proof of purchase. Please note that without the aforementioned proof of purchase, we will not issue a refund but will provide you with a store credit instead.
Sale and clearance items
Only regular priced items may be returned, unfortunately sale or clearance items cannot be returned.
Shipping items
In order to return an order, you must contact us first and obtain and include a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Returns will not be accepted without a valid Return Merchandise Authorization.
Visit any of our retail locations to return your items purchased through our online store. Our staff member will process your return or exchange for you.
You must take care to ensure that the goods are properly packaged so that they will not be damaged while in transit. If the product is found damaged or used beyond what it takes for us to reasonably inspect it, then we may reject a refund.
